At Skeppshult, we believe cookware should last—not just for years, but for generations. This Limited Warranty outlines your rights and our obligations under applicable U.S. and Canadian law.

Warranty Duration

Skeppshult provides a 25-year limited warranty on cast iron cookware purchased directly from Skeppshult1906.com or an authorized Skeppshult retailer in Canada or the United States.

This warranty applies only to products used for normal household cooking purposes and does not cover commercial, institutional, or industrial use.

What’s Covered

Skeppshult warrants its cast iron products to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and proper care, for a period of 25 years from the original date of purchase.

If a covered defect is confirmed during the warranty period, Skeppshult will, at its sole discretion:

Repair the product; or
Replace it with the same or a comparable item of equal value (replacement products may differ in shape, design, color, or finish)

Skeppshult does not guarantee the continued availability of discontinued items or spare parts.

What’s Not Covered

This warranty does not apply to:

Products not purchased from an authorized retailer or purchased outside Canada or the United States
Products without proof of purchase, or transferred beyond the original purchaser or new gift recipient
Cosmetic changes due to normal wear and tear, including surface marks, discoloration, scratches, or rust
Glass lids, packaging, accessories, or non-cast iron parts
Damage caused by: misuse, abuse, neglect, overheating, improper cleaning or storage, dishwashers, or failure to follow provided care instructions
Products used in commercial, institutional, or industrial settings
Products modified, altered, or repaired by unauthorized third parties
Consequential or incidental damages, including loss of time, use, food, or personal injury
Defects disclosed or known at the time of purchase (e.g., final sale or discounted items with visible damage)

Who May Claim

This warranty is valid for:

The original purchaser; or
The recipient of the product as a gift, provided the item was received new and unused

This warranty is non-transferable beyond these two parties.

Legal Rights and Disclaimers

This Limited Warranty is provided in accordance with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, the Uniform Commercial Code, and applicable provincial, state, and territorial consumer laws.

SOME STATES, PROVINCES, OR TERRITORIES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

SKEPPSHULT EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

SKEPPSHULT’S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR THE PRODUCT.

NO EMPLOYEE, AGENT, OR RETAILER IS AUTHORIZED TO ALTER OR EXTEND THIS WARRANTY.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This warranty is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

All legal claims must be brought exclusively in the courts of Quebec.

Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

By purchasing a Skeppshult product, you agree that any dispute or claim relating to this warranty will be resolved by binding arbitration, on an individual basis, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

You waive any right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or collective legal proceedings.
